Our Founder:
Cliff Ponder, an elementary school teacher and principal for 20 years is the founder and President of Academic Associates Learning Centers. Cliff was frustrated that so many of his bright students couldn't read and was determined to develop an effective reading program. After a few years of research, Cliff developed the Academic Associates reading program that is a logical, step-by-step method teaching decoding, fluency and comprehension. Cliff has taught thousands of children and adults to become better readers.  We thank Cliff for his vision and efforts.

Toni Kackert has a Master's degree as well as nine years experience in professional staff training.  Toni loves to teach and knows how frustrating it can be if you are not a good reader. Toni completed the specialized training program and is now a certified Reading Instruction Specialist. She has two children of her own and is teaching the program to her four year old.
